The Romance Vault's Verdict - ♥♥♥♥ slow burning hearts.

Start - 4 stars
Middle - 3 stars
Ending - 4 stars.

Ryland Thomas is English and herein I struggled a little bit with his euphemisms as in always using the word 'bloody' when in truth an English bloke would be proffering the 'F' word 80% of the time and not acting on the tame side.  Also there is a slip up with the word panties - of course she's American so she's going to use that term but Ryland also uses it which if he's a British as the author would have us believe he would be saying or thinking knickers, so that was a little disappointing.  I know it's hard to fully portray a Brit when you aren't one and to be honest A.M. Hargrove has got closest to it than many other American authors, it was almost there but not quite.  I also got a fair bit peed off with the constant use of Ryland Thomas' name - especially by Tilly, it was a tad annoying.

This is what I class as a slow burn read, not a great deal happens in the middle.  When they are first meeting it holds your attention, when they first start getting to know each other it holds your attention and then it waivers, not a lot happens for a fair bit and then bam as the book starts to conclude it becomes extremely hard to put down and then I found myself sitting up till the stupid hours needing to finish their story.

You'll meet some nasties in this book, Fallon's mother is an absolute bitch and what that woman does (or doesn't do) is astounding.  You'll have your heart tugged at Fallon's predicament and you'll want to rip Ryland a new one a few times.

To sum it up the ending really redeemed this book, it made it all worthwhile but if your expecting a lot of action (and not sexual - there's plenty of that) then this book may not sate your requirements.
